Edible giveaways produced by the ZfV Catering

Present your participants with snacks as an exclusive giveaway. How about energy balls, for example, to boost concentration, or tempting cookies for a snack in between? The UZH catering team will be happy to provide you with further creative ideas for culinary highlights. Not only are these culinary giveaways delicious, but they are also a great idea for a more sustainable giveaway option.

Other options of consumable presents

Consumer goods are very suitable as material promotional gifts as they are used for longer. For reasons of sustainability, these gifts should be sourced from environmentally friendly and regional suppliers. Here are a few examples:

• Organic jam from Zurich
• local honey (organically produced)
• Bio-Müesli from Zurich
• Swiss organic tea

Objects made from recycled materials

When giving long-lasting gifts, it is important to make sure that they have been produced in the most environmentally friendly and fair way possible.

Examples: 

• Special notebooks: For example, made from recycled leather from handbags or shoes or from apple pomace.
• Bags: For example, made from paper, recycled PET or fabric. We advise against using cotton bags, as cotton production has a high environmental impact. A cotton bag would have to be reused around 80 times to have a similarly low environmental impact as a disposable plastic bag.

Donations to projects with a social or ecological purpose:

You choose a project or an organization or leave the choice to the participants and donate the amount of your choice.

Sponsorships:

You can take on a sponsorship in the name of the event. Be it for water, education, wildlife protection, trees, vines, bees, etc.). The costs vary greatly.

(Bee) flower or vegetable seeds: flower mixtures, seed balls to sow yourself help to promote biodiversity or that attract endangered wild bees.
