Event formats
Our new event formats replace the previous workshops and are designed for both experienced event organizers at the University of Zurich and all interested UZH employees. They are held in German and are free of charge.
The new formats consist of:
EventSkills
Various topics are discussed and developed in 2-3 hour workshops (on site), sometimes in collaboration with other departments or with input from various experts.
Frequency: 2-3 times a year.
Eventnetz Dialog
The Eventnetz Dialog offers a platform for the exchange and networking of event managers at UZH. The aim is to create an inspiring atmosphere in which experiences can be shared, new contacts can be made and current trends and best practices in event management can be discussed.
Frequency: approx. 2 times per year.
EventLunch
The EventLunch is a live-streamed talk format that features current topics from the event industry in a relaxed, moderated setting. Bring your lunch and tune in as different departments and experts share insights and experiences on a variety of event-related themes.
Frequency: approx. 2 times a year

In this practice-oriented workshop, we provide an overview of helpful event tools - from the initial idea to the follow-up. Together we will test various applications, share experiences and develop our own workflows.

"How to plan an event at the UZH?" (for advanced learners)

Event planning is nothing new for you and you have already successfully completed several events. But how does it work at the University of Zurich? Are there any differences to the usual organization? Get to know procedures, checklists, and responsible departments for events at the UZH. The planning of the premises and the financial plan at the University of Zurich will no longer be unfamiliar after the workshop.

Are you new to event planning or have limited experience in it? If so, you've come to the perfect place. In this workshop, you'll be guided through the initial stages of event planning, preparation, follow-up, and execution. Have you ever wondered how you can make your events sustainable? Join us in this workshop, where you'll explore the impact of virtual event formats and catering choices. Together with the Sustainability Department, we invite you to this enriching workshop. We look forward to a meaningful exchange!
